Waste No Time

I’m going to keep this short because I have to be up at 5am tomorrow to meet a pal flying in from Chicago. Groan… I seriously hate getting up at that time, don’t you? So I’m off to beddy-byes in about half an hour with a mug of cocoa (and it’s only 8.30!).

Before I fall asleep I will do a simple, yet so powerful exercise. Here’s how to do it for yourself:  Think of one thing you are grateful for that day. And there’s always something no matter how terrible your day was. Think about it – and be grateful for it. It’s a powerful thing to fall asleep in a state of gratitude, instead of drifting off fretting over the worries and stresses of the day. I also then think of one thing I am going to do next day which will bring me closer to my life-goals. Try this for yourself.

Now here’s an important wealth tip. What do you think I will be doing as I drive to Heathrow? Staring gormlessly out of the window? Listening to today’s “ain’t it awful” poison on the (ha ha) ‘News’ in order to destroy my mood for the rest of the day?

Do you think successful people waste their lives like this or ruin their minds with junk? In my car I always have the latest set of motivational or inspirational CDs I am currently listening to. I also have a mini tape machine. Whilst driving I alternate between listening to the words of wisdom of others, and noting down great ideas to create superb products which people will love – and pay me for! I have a THICK folder full of such ideas; more than I could possibly do in one lifetime.

So please try and mirror this habit of the super-successful. They never waste time, they never drift along, they never just sit and wait, or just travel. They have holidays and relax of course, but that’s not what I’m talking about as you know. Please try to get into this habit – it will pay you huge dividends. You know, success is little more than a series of powerful habits harnessed to propel you forwards towards a better, brighter life. Success becomes almost inevitable once you acquire these habits.
